Far Cry 4 definitely suffered from the 'Ubisoft formula'. Far Cry 5 meanwhile tries to focus more on interesting content, with side quests actually feeling side quests. Overall, both good games, with different strengths and weaknesses, but I think FC5 is the better game. Mikoianionut. Far Cry 3 was better than 4 imo. I like the setting and the story better. To me it feels like much of the same game and shouldn't feel like its lacking too many features. Far Cry Blood Dragon was great too but short if you don't want it to feel too much like 4. I had no interest in Primal. Far Cry 3 has an iconic single player story and the basics of the mechanics that the subsequent games have built on. Far Cry 4 adds two player co-op and a story with a few choices that make it more replayable. 6 is better than 3 but worse than 4,5, and even all three of the spin-offs (not the far cry 1 god tier craziness) It’s all due to content and how fun the game is, I don’t like 3, I don’t like 6 but better than 3, I love 4, I love new dawn, I absolutely adore the spin-offs, and If I were to only play one far cry game, it would be 5 Let me say first that I enjoyed my playthrough of Far Cry 5. Then my wife picked it up and I played through again on her story as a co-op partner. I liked the game and am happy that we purchased it. I was never really captured by Far Cry 4. After being a huge fan of Far Cry 3 I was anxious for 4 but somehow it never really clicked for me. Whether it was game mechanics, setting or someting else Far Cry 3 had my favorite story, seem to be more relatable than the other's at least for me, and I could see the story be more plausible than the other games. 3. refarico • 4 yr. ago. Yes, it is. I have played both with an Intel 6600K and a AMD 3700X (RTX 2600) 1080p@120 and FC5 reaches higher FPS and better average frametimes in both CPUs, with a similar high settings configuration settings and VRAM usage. Far Cry 3 tops our list of the best Far Cry games of all time for one important reason: balance. Far Cry 3 gets just about everything right in just the right amounts, whereas much of the rest of Though I did like Far Cry 4's story, I think Far Cry 3 was more enjoyable, and it has some interesting moments of deconstruction and far better character development on the part of the protagonist. If you can't get 3 for some reason, 4's story is alright, nothing too special, but the basic story isn't too bad, the villain is entertaining, and Mwkmx.
